ENV - Equipment Operator

This position is responsible for performing and overseeing the environmentaland remediation services crew and equipment on a project site. The position isresponsible for ensuring that work is completed safely and to the customer'sstandards. The ideal candidate will have 5 - 10 years of experience withremediation, construction, equipment operation and previous crew supervisionexperience.
Maintain safetystandards and requirements at all times for entire crew under supervision
Perform and superviseothers in various tasks such as heavy equipment operation,(trackhoes/dozers/off-road trucking), excavation and backfilling, AST and USTremovals and cleaning, and concreting operations.
Operate heavy equipmentin the performance of remedial operations to include excavation, backfilling,remedial system installation and concreting operations.
Work in diverseenvironments such as confined spaces, various heights, and storage tanks
Work outdoors in allweather conditions--extreme heat, cold, dry or wet environment
Load equipment and othermaterials required for assigned job onto truck.
Assist in the operationof equipment or power tools.
Clean up work area andequipment after work is completed.
Assist in the inspectionof equipment, tools and general work area
Read plans,specifications, works orders and collect all basic equipment to perform tasks
Complete all appropriatepaperwork including services receipts.

Ability to read andunderstand blueprint drawings, surveys, construction drawings andspecifications

Computer skills stronglypreferred in Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to manage andmotivate others
Ability to travel forextended periods of time
Valid driver's licenserequired, CDL preferred
Ability to workovertime, weekends, nights, and holidays as required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
