Koch Agronomic Services, LLC is seeking a motivated and self-driven Project Engineer to join our Value-Added Products group based in Sylacauga, AL. At Koch Agronomic Services, LLC, Project Engineers play an instrumental role in identifying, engineering, and executing diverse projects at our facility. Projects range in scope and size, providing a continually changing and dynamic learning environment.
The successful candidate will be an integral member on our project engineering team during engineering & execution of capital asset projects. They will provide integrity based leadership for the execution of capital projects from conceptualization through operational performance testing. Responsibilities will also include supporting the value drivers for the plant and the business by safely and responsibly delivering project goals including product quality, production, schedule, and cost. This individual will effectively communicate and execute the organization's safety and performance strategies with internal and external stakeholders.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Leading conceptual project development, front-end engineering, detailed design and construction, continuing through commissioning and post startup project analysis
Developing project scopes of work (engineering & construction)
Developing procurement, construction, and cost control packages
Leading project teams in the development and implementation of projects
What You Will Need:
Basic
Qualifications:
3
years of experience in capital project design and execution
Experience in phased project processes
Strong communication skills
Experience identifying root issue/opportunities, developing scopes of work, and capital estimates
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred
Qualifications:
7
years of experience in small & large capital project development and execution
Technical Engineering or Operations experience in fertilizer, chemical or oil & gas processing industry (production, storage/handling, etc.)
Construction management experience
Project Engineer (PE) Certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Physical Requirements/Unusual Working Conditions
Ability to enter operating facility sites to access and inspect equipment
Ability to utilize ladders and platforms in excess of 100 feet
Ability to enter confined spaces and be capable of utilizing all required personal protective equipment
